PANCAKE STORY

Pancake is breakfast turned in to a dessert. I guess it is a pure example of a western dish becoming favorite as soon as it got introduced. And that's the beauty of India and it's people, they accept everything by heart.

The pancakes originally were served with maple syrup , cream or fruits, unlike today. It is served with what not. May it be chocolate, chocolate chips, icecream, jelly. This is not the case only for pancakes but also waffles and crepes and we are all guilty of loving them that way.

Pancake story is one such place offering variety of pancakes, crepes, waffles and shakes.

We visited the borivali outlet. Pretty place in white and blue theme. They only have two tables inside the cafe and chairs outside.

Let's talk about what all we had.

Chocolate Volcano Pancakes.

They were 12 mini ball shaped pancakes topped with white chocolate sauce, chocolate syrup, belgian chocolate and sliced almonds. Personally i love almonds in desert, it gives crunchy taste to the heaven that is in my mouth. So these were really good freshly baked hot pancakes and we loved it. The toppings were available for both waffles and crepes too for all the types.

Nutella Crepe

I OFFICIALLY NAME THIS THING HEAVEN. I was actually looking at the person making this thing. So he was pouring the batter, then spreading it on the dish trying not to make contact with my eyes staring at the process so closely haha. So now the crepe was made and beautifully kept in the box and then what I saw was what i think happiness looked like. The person was pouring nutella chocolate sauce. He was pouring, pouring and pouring. I must tell never seen a person serving chocolate sauce whole heartedly.

Signature nutties Waffle and Strawberry Shake

These both were not that impressive. The shake had too much syrup and the waffles were very hard to chew. Not very great experience with them.
